What to Expect for Your Imaging Exam
At Acadiana Imaging Services, your comfort and satisfaction is our top priority. With 2 locations, one located right off Kaliste Saloom in Lafayette and one right off Ambassador Caffrey in Broussard, we offer extended hours and same day appointments. Plus, all of our equipment is accredited by the American College of Radiology, so you can rest assured that your results will be accurate and useful in enhancing your healthcare.
General Information
Scheduling Your Appointment
Whether your provider schedules an appointment on your behalf or you schedule with us directly, creating an appointment is simple. Your provider will send an order that details exactly what type of imaging exam you need. Providers may call us directly to schedule patient appointments or fax over orders and we will contact the patient directly to schedule their appointment. Patients are welcome to call us directly to schedule appointments after receiving an order from their provider. To offer flexibility in scheduling and accommodate patient schedules, we also offer extended hours in addition to our normal business hours. Our imaging center is available to meet all demands of our providers and patients.
Pre-Exam Preparation
You can complete registration online prior to your appointment, enabling a streamlined, efficient and confidential check in process on the day of your appointment. After your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email notification to complete online registration. This includes uploading insurance cards and picture identification, as well as completing all registration forms electronically. If you aren’t able to complete your paperwork prior to arriving, we also offer digital tablets in the lobby.
Exam Day
During your appointment, one of our specialists will help you prepare for your exam. This may entail changing your clothes, receiving contrast material or getting correctly positioned with our machines. Whether they are inside the room with you or in our viewing room, a staff member will stay in communication with you throughout the duration of the exam.
Results
After your appointment, one of our radiologists will review your images and create a detailed report. Reports will be sent to ordering providers with the results of your exam. We are also happy to send your results or images to any other provider upon request. These assets will be made available on your patient portal, and you can also request a copy of this information in CD format from our office. We are committed to providing quick and accurate results for every exam.
